The heat transfer paper is compatible with both Laserjet (HP, OKI, and more) and Inkjet (HP, Canon, Brother, and more) printers. It is suitable for use with pigment ink and dye ink, but should not be used with sublimation ink. No mirror printing is required.
Washing and storage instructions should be carefully followed to ensure the transferred image remains vibrant and durable. Wait at least 48 hours before washing the garment. Wash the item inside-out using a full spin cycle with cold water, and avoid using bleach or alkaline detergents. Hang the garment to dry naturally, keeping the transferred image facing outwards when folding. Unused transfer paper should be kept sealed and stored in a cool, dry place.
For the iron transfer method, set the iron to the cotton/jeans setting and turn off the steam function. Apply firm, even, and heavy pressure, circularly pressing and ironing each area of the image for 5 seconds (3-5 minutes for A4 size, 2-3 minutes for 1/2 A4, and 1.5-2 minutes for 1/4 A4). Ensure all areas, especially the corners and edges, are thoroughly ironed.
For the easy press transfer method, the temperature and time may vary depending on the type of easy press and image size. As a general guide, set the temperature to 170°C (338°F) and the time to 120 seconds for an A4 size image, 90 seconds for 1/2 A4, and 30 seconds for 1/4 A4. Slowly press the entire image from one side to the other, applying heavy pressure for 10 seconds on each area and circularly ironing the whole image 4 times (80 seconds total). Finally, heat press each corner of the image for an additional 10-20 seconds.
For the heat press machine transfer, set the temperature to 170°C (338°F) and the time to 10 seconds, using medium pressure.
To begin, print your design on the blank side of the transfer paper. For inkjet printers, set the paper type to plain or photo paper and the print quality to photo or high quality photo. For laserjet printers, set the paper type to label paper with a weight of 180g or higher. No mirror printing is required.
Cut out the design using scissors or a cutting machine, then peel the design from the backing logo paper. Place the t-shirt on a solid surface, use an ironing tool to smooth out any creases, and position the design face-up on the desired area of the t-shirt. Cover it with the included teflon paper before transferring the image using the appropriate method (iron, easy press, or heat press).
After the transfer is complete, peel off the teflon paper in a quick, smooth motion. Congratulations, your DIY image transfer is now done! Enjoy your personalized creation.
